How does Remidi T8 work?
The T8 is a Bluetooth MIDI-controller. The first time you open T8, you plug it in your laptop/desktop via USB and land on the Remidi website. There, you’ll download the T8 app (for free) and set/calibrate the T8 for the first time. Once that’s done, you’ll be able to use it with your tablet or smartphone just by connecting it through Bluetooth and you can start playing the T8 with a set of Audio Remix Packs. If you want to use it with your music or video software, you’ll just have to go to our website, download the correct patch and import it into your software. At this point your software will see the T8 as a MIDI external device and you can start playing. I don’t have any other music or video software, can I use the T8?

Is the T8 compatible with iOS, MAC OS X, Android, and PC systems?
If we hit our first goal, we’ll first develop the iOS and MAC OS X version of our app. The version for Android and PC will be delivered a little bit later. Can I remix famous tracks?
Unless this campaign is such a huge success that it will allow us to negotiate with majors and labels – and it all depends on you. :) Our main goal is to create a community of T8 users. Can I record myself while playing?

How do I program the notes/chords that correspond with each sensor on the T8 (note-sets)?

Why the sensors on the palm?
When we started develop the T8 we realized that five sensors weren’t enough to improvise and have fun, so we wanted to expand the T8’s capabilities as much as was reasonably possible. Moreover, combining the palm sensors with the ones on the fingertips allow users to hold one note and to play with five others at the same time or to switch-off some sensors and use the T8 to simulate percussions. Can I use the T8 with my DJ or VJ software?
Yes. You only have to download the patch from our website, import it into your software and select the T8 as the defined MIDI controller on the software you’re using. Can I use it with my DAW?

What is the warranty?

How do I communicate with the T8 during a performance?
The T8 communicates with you through the LEDs on the wristband and through the integrated software/app. In this way you’ll be able to know which note-set you have enabled and the battery level at all times. Moreover, the integrated interface for the laptop can run in parallel with your music software. This way you can perfectly interact with your third party software and you don’t lose sight of your T8. Can I use it while I play another instrument?
One of the most important features of the T8 is that you can easily bypass sensors with one touch of the wristband. If you play another instrument and you want to move from that instrument to the T8, you can do it in an instant, without overlapping any sound. And, don’t forget that you can also play your instrument (piano, sax, drums) and decide to assign video clips or even other sounds to each of your fingertips and to the movement of your hands: Your performance may evolve in a never-seen-before way! Does the wristband work alone?
The wristband is designed to interact with software and apps in endless ways and use the encoder to browse note-sets in real-time. Moreover, it can serve as a straightforward companion to your performances because it can keep the tempo through the LEDs on the switches and can be used to interact with whatever software and app you choose, exactly as the entire T8 does. Does the glove work alone?

Can I use two T8s at the same time?

What are the available sizes?
The T8 will be available in three sizes: S, M, L. We’re really sorry, but at this time we can’t provide other glove sizes. In order to know if your hand stays in this range you have to measure the width of the back of the hand. To find out your glove size, measure around hand, wrapping a tape measure around your palm and the back of your hand, passing between your thumb and forefinger. You should use your dominant hand, the right if you are right-handed, and the left if you are left-handed. Can I change or cancel my reward?
Kickstarter allows you to increase, decrease, or cancel your reward at any time during the duration of the live campaign. Once the campaign is over, the Remidi team will evaluate any requests to change, alter, or cancel a backer’s crowdfunding pre-order on a case-by-case basis. Will the glove be washable?

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
